Rot Lop Fan was not pleased with his progress. The hyperdrive units on this starliner were slightly out-of-tune and the dissonance was just irritating enough to be interfering with his efforts. He wanted to give his friend something that would last the ages, a fitting tribute to the Ringer who had shown him the F Sharp Bell and the wonders it could perform. Her homeworld's music was strident, harsh, dissonant to his ear. But his own homeworld's songs would not do to honor Katma Tui. Not at all. So he and his Bell sang the songs of her world, looking for just the right notes to honor her spirit, to stand for her memory for all the ages.
